Next Island's long game is not a kill counter. It is five factions, each with a private lounge you have to earn your way into, and each asking for something different: crafting, hunting, mining, gathering, or simply proof that you have been everywhere. Getting into all five is the closest thing the planet has to an endgame, and the missions behind each door exist nowhere else.
Running alongside them are two separate tracks: Becoming an Islander, a 137-day daily grind, and Becoming a Legend, an achievement collection.
The five doors
Each faction gates its lounge differently. This is what each one actually asks.
Loyalist, at Peyton
The only one gated on breadth rather than a task. Peyton reads your record and decides. You need 14 completed missions, and you must speak to him each time you want to try. Thirteen of them the community worked out between them:
Daily Stalker Challenge, Daily Drake Eradication, New Elysian Order Training, Crystalline Core Daily, Driving Test, Magical Flowers, Magical Flower Bonus Challenge, Lost Shipwreck, Daily Scouting Resources Mission, Solving An Old NI Mystery, New Clothes, Daily Lesser Elysia Challenge, Daily Multi-Faction, Crystal Hoarder Daily.
Follow the path to the right zone or you get teleported back out. Inside: Daily Brown Papoo Hunting, 2,000 Brown Papoo.
Stel, at Gert
The long one, three parts, starting at Oasis Outlook and walking south to a televator.
- Crafting: attempt Island Shirts 500 times. Attempts, not successes. Male or female does not matter.
- Hunting: kill 1,000 Island Sharks, west of Ajoite Ridge. Only creatures named exactly Island Shark count, so the Young and Mature ones are the fast way through.
- Mining: the last stretch, and the source is honest that it is a grind.
The shirt blueprint is given once. If you have sold or TT'd it, you need another player's help.
Resa, at Glenn, Kamba Outpost
The gathering one, four stages, and the one that sends you all over the planet.
- Complete Crystal Hoarder once.
- 2,000 points of harvesting, which means cutting trees.
- 300 Fruit, 100 Stones, 50 Dung. Shatterrock is the place for it.
- Refine 5 PED TT of anything in a refiner. Not sweat crates: it is the TT value of what you refine that counts.
Inside: Resa Boar Daily (700 Village Boar, or 200 Wild Boar, or 50 Sand Boar, same reward whichever you pick) and Daily Resa Mining (25 claims of 1 PED or above).
N.E.O., at the gatekeeper
The payment one. You hand over crafted items and a lot of Elysian Tech Chips to reach their underground HQ. It pays the best entry reward of the five: four unlimited Drake Egg Replica blueprints, one per element.
Inside: three weeklies (mining, hunting, crafting) and a daily. The mining weekly assigns a random ore or energy matter and asks for 100 points of it, paying 10 clicks of a Drake Wings blueprint. The crafting weekly is 50 attempts at one of the egg blueprints you were given.
Haruspex, at Flora, Tanzanite View
Deliberately the easiest, and the source says so: the Haruspex saw what the other factions were demanding and made a lesser version. Craft your faction's clothes, attempting each three times.
Your avatar's gender decides which set, and it must be the non-C versions. The blueprints come from the Multi-Faction Daily.
Inside: Haruspex Mining (8 stages, rewarding access to a private mining island), Daily Asterion Hunt and Daily Achelous Hunt (500 each), plus a weekly.
Becoming an Islander
A separate track, run from Thebes in Ancient Greece: complete the Daily Islander Pursuit 137 times.
The daily is a choice of eight tasks each day, spanning hunting, mining, crafting, fishing, sweating and harvesting, so it is deliberately varied rather than a kill count. At 137 completions it pays ten items, including a Giant L.A.R.A. Plushie and the Islander Bumpercar.
Becoming a Legend
Achievement-based rather than objective-based, and the one piece where even the source admits to gaps. Progress lives in your action library under Interface, Achievements, Next Island, Personal Legend.
The part people miss: you have to talk to the Bartender again to make some of the achievements register. Doing the deed is not enough.
Stacking the dailies
Most of these dailies overlap, and running them blind wastes a lot of time. Some worth knowing:
- Arges counts for the Crystal Hoarder Daily and for a Gorgon's Shade Hunt stage at the same time.
- Achelous counts for the Haruspex daily and a Gorgon's Shade stage.
- Praetonium feeds the Daily Praetonium Challenge, an N.E.O. weekly, Mining for the Gorgon and the Stel V.I.P. mining stage.
- The Multi-Faction Daily covers a crafting task for each faction, which is also where the Haruspex entry blueprints come from.
What is missing from our data
The wiki holds each of these as a mission row with its objective, so Resa V.I.P. already lists its four stages and N.E.O. V.I.P. its full hand-in. What the rows do not carry is everything around the objective: which NPC to talk to, where they stand, which creature names count, and the traps.
That gap is the source's shape rather than an oversight. nihelper writes its walkthroughs as page prose, and only its tables are structured enough to import, so there is nothing to put in a field. One row shows the difference plainly: Loyalist V.I.P.'s recorded objective is "Complete all missions needed", and the fourteen missions it means exist only in prose.
That is why this is a guide rather than more wiki fields, and why the mission pages link here.
Credit
Every requirement on this page comes from NI Helper, and the Loyalist list in particular is community work: thirteen of the fourteen missions were worked out by players comparing notes. See the people behind the data, and the Next Island guide for the planet itself.
