About materials in Entropia Universe
Materials are the raw resources of Entropia Universe: ores and enmatters from mining, oils, hides, and other parts from hunting, robot components, and more. This database lists every material with its TT value, source, what it refines to, and where it is found.
A material's real price is its TT value plus markup: the percentage buyers pay above TT because crafters need it in blueprints. Markup is what turns an ordinary loot pile into profit, so knowing which materials carry demand is one of the most valuable skills in the game.
Look up any material before you sell: a stack that looks like vendor trash at TT can be a crafting staple worth far more on the auction.
Frequently asked questions
What is markup (MU)?
Markup is the percentage above trade terminal value that a material sells for on the player market. A material at 120% markup pays you 20% more than its TT value. Selling loot with markup instead of trading everything to the TT is a core part of profitable hunting and mining.
Where do materials come from?
Mining finders pull ores and enmatters from the ground, hunted creatures drop oils, hides, and other parts, and robots drop components. A few materials come from events or special sources.
Why do materials get refined?
Most raw resources, like ores and enmatters, must be refined with a refiner tool before crafters can use them in blueprints. The Refines To column shows what each raw material turns into.
Which materials are worth keeping?
Anything used in popular blueprints tends to hold markup. Check current auction prices before selling to the trade terminal, and watch which items are being crafted heavily, since demand for their ingredients follows.
