This is the practical version. The privacy policy is the legal one, and it wins if the two ever disagree.
What we hold about you
Your account. Email address, a hashed password, and your avatar name. That is the whole of it. We do not ask for a real name, an address, a phone number or anything financial.
Your avatar's tracked game history. Globals, HOFs, ATHs, discoveries and PvP records, attached to an avatar name. This is public in-game activity, broadcast by the game to everyone who was around to see it, and it is public here too. It is the point of the site.
Anonymous usage analytics. Screen views and a randomly generated visitor ID, not linked to your identity.
Tracked game history belongs to the avatar, not to your account. That distinction explains most of the behaviour on this page, including what survives account deletion.
What Entropia Central Tracker sends
Entropia Central Tracker reads your Entropia Universe chat log and nothing else. It has no access to the game itself, your computer's files beyond the log folder you chose, or anything you do outside Entropia Universe.
From that log it reads three things: global events, messages in the public trade channels it recognises, and PvP combat actions.
It does not read private messages, society chat, or any other channel. It does not collect device identifiers or location data. It reads nothing at all while it is closed, and it does not go back through history from before you started it.
Privacy Mode stops all of it. With Privacy Mode on, the tracker still works locally and shows you your own sessions, but nothing leaves your machine. Screenshots are always local, saved to a folder you pick, and never uploaded.
What the mobile app sends
Your sign-in details and anonymous analytics. Nothing else.
No advertising identifier, no location, no contacts, photos, camera or microphone. There are no third-party SDKs or advertising frameworks in the app at all, so there is nothing in it that phones anywhere except our own servers.
Locally it keeps your session, the anonymous analytics ID, and cached profile data for offline display. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling removes all of it.
What the website does differently
The website is the one place with advertising, and advertising is the one thing that involves a third party. Ads are served by Google, which sets its own cookies and is governed by its own policies.
Two controls exist:
- Cookie settings, reachable from the footer whenever ads are running, where you set your consent and can choose non-personalised ads.
- Premium, which removes advertising entirely.
Everything else on the site works the same signed in or out, with or without consent.
Deleting your account
Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Here is exactly what happens.
Removed: your account, email address and password. Your API keys, which stop working at once. Your support cases.
Unlinked but kept: your avatar, which stays in the database and becomes unclaimed. Its globals, leaderboard standings and profile remain public exactly as before, they are simply no longer connected to a user account. Any land areas you owned or managed become unowned rather than being deleted.
Handed over: events and challenges you organised are not silently destroyed, because other people entered them and are owed results. They go through an organiser handover rather than disappearing.
The reason your globals stay is that they were public game events before we recorded them. Removing them would not make them private, it would only put a hole in the community's record of what happened. If you register again with the same avatar name it will link back to you, since it is unclaimed.
If you want your account gone but would rather your avatar were not linkable at all, contact support and say so, rather than deleting and assuming it happened.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask for corrections, or ask for deletion, through support. The privacy policy sets out the full list, the legal bases and the retention periods.
